A few hours by boat from the mainland, you will find Gotland. For several generations, the island has been something of a mecca for sunbathers during the glorious summer holidays. When it's time for a snack, lunch, or perhaps a coffee break, it's easy to return to your caravan for a "well-deserved" rest. If you don't want to prepare your own food, there are of course several restaurants and cafés in the area where guests can enjoy good food while staying at Kneippbyn.
WELL-EQUIPPED SERVICE BUILDINGS
For the comfort of camping guests, there are two well-equipped service buildings with kitchens, showers, toilets, and laundry facilities. If you have a four-legged friend, they are of course also welcome at Kneippbyn's campsite, which is located directly adjacent to the Högklint hiking area. To the south lies Södra Hällarna, which usually provides a magical setting for morning or evening walks.
Excursions are enjoyable
Even though Kneippbyn's campsite has everything you need, it's of course fun to get away sometimes. Short excursions are a must when camping on Gotland. Many people choose to bring their bikes, and it's certainly easy to get around by bike during the summer months on Gotland.
Starting from Kneippbyn, you can reach Tofta beach for swimming in just 20 minutes. There, several kilometers of sandy beach stretch out before you. In recent years, significant investments have been made in the areas around the beach, and you can now enjoy lunch on the beach, for example. Tofta is suitable for both families with children and older couples.
INNER HARBOR
If you are heading towards Visby instead, we recommend the tourist trap "Inre Hamnen" (Inner Harbor). It is by no means a hidden gem, but it is still a really cozy outing. Choose from 1,000 types of ice cream at the well-known Glassmagasinet, then continue on to Almedalen, take the beach promenade and check out the beautiful Botanical Garden on the way back. Come whenever you want
Anyone who has visited Gotland and Visby before, or is about to book for the first time, will quickly notice that the summer tour schedule offers a number of tours at odd times. Perhaps the ferry departs in the middle of the night, or there is a gap between check-out and departure. Kneippbyn has campsites for just that purpose.
