Kneippbyn Cruise – For cruise travelers

It is Sweden's most popular villa. The original house from SVT's films about Pippi Longstocking is centrally located in Kneippbyn Resort's adventure park, Summerland.

Come see where Pippi lives, sneak up the stairs to Astrid Lindgren’s study, and if—but only if—you dare to enter Pippi’s haunted attic among the pirates and buccaneers. Villa Villekulla has two floors, and once you’ve bought a ticket, you can go inside the house.

Astrid The Story is an exhibition about Astrid Lindgren and Pippi Longstocking. Why were the films shot on Gotland? In addition to the exciting story, you will find classic Pippi quotes and beautiful pictures. In this area, you can read more about and photograph the T-Ford and the motorcycle with sidecar that Constable Kling and Klang used in the TV recordings.

The area is very interesting, and of course we will also tell you more about the history of Kneippbyn and how Villa Villekulla ended up in Kneippbyn. Did you know that films have actually been shot in our home?

We want Villa Villekulla to be accessible to anyone who wants to travel back in time and relive fond childhood memories. For this reason, Villa Villekulla remains open even outside the regular summer season.
We are open on the following dates, subject to change:

When paying on site, the entrance fee is: SEK 180/adult & SEK 140/child.

Villa Villekulla

The films "Pippi Longstocking" and "Pippi on the Run" were filmed at Kneippbyn's Summerland the house was moved here in 1970 – in one piece! In 2001-2002, 2010, and 2015, Villa Villekulla was renovated to recreate the environment from the classic films. Villa Villekulla is a turn-of-the-century villa, and dating by E. Ahlqvist on the stairs indicates that the house was extended or built in 1902. The villa was originally a manager's residence belonging to the Gotland Regiment on Visborgsslätt. And it is said that if it weren't for Pippi, the house, which was in poor condition before the filming, would have been demolished in the late 1960s.

The Magazine – Gift Shop

In our shop, which we have named Magasinet, you will find a wide range of Pippi items. How about some pajamas, a stylish bag, Mr. Nilsson, or the little old man? In addition to the large Pippi range, there are Gotland souvenirs, summer clothes, sweets, drinks, and much more. Magasinet is therefore a natural stop after visiting Villekulla. If you're lucky, our adventure golf course with 18 themed holes will also be open.

Villa Villekulla, with its unique interior, characters, and little old man (who, incidentally, is perfect to sit on for that really cool photo), is an exciting experience enhanced by sound effects. Perhaps you would like to leave your pacifier in Pippi's suitcase?
The area also features fun electric cars, a play ship, and the opportunity to bounce around in our bouncy castle. So, there are plenty of opportunities to burn off some energy.

From May 22 to August 23, Kneippbyn Resort with Summer and Waterland is Waterland almost every day. In this case, the above product does not apply, but Villa Villekulla is included in the regular admission ticket to the amusement parks. If you only want to visit Villa Villekulla, a quick-stop ticket applies.
