THE REAL VILLA VILLEKULLA

The original house from SVT's films about Pippi Longstocking. Included as an attraction at Kneippbyn's Summerland. Come and see how Pippi lives, sneak up the stairs to Astrid Lindgren's writing room and, if, but only if, you dare, enter Pippi's haunted attic among sea robbers and pirates...

In 2001-2002, Villa Villekulla underwent a complete renovation with the aim of recreating and replicating the environment depicted in the classic Pippi films. We are constantly working to find original details from the films, and today the house features an original sofa, Kling and Klang's police car (a Model T Ford), and the classic motorcycle with sidecar.

Did you know that the films "Pippi Longstocking" and "Pippi on the Run" were filmed here at Kneippbyn? Only the exterior of the house was used during filming; all indoor scenes were shot in film studios.

Summerland restaurants, cafés, and kiosks. Restaurant Solsidan, Boston Diner, and Café Borgen. Waterland two dining options. Gusto, located right at the entrance, and Lagunen pool club, which has a large lounge area.

Amenities & Services

Magasinet, our own little shop, is located in the center of Kneippbyn. Here you will find everything from ice cream, cold drinks, souvenirs, and toys to cool clothes and accessories.

Tips for your visit

Please decide on a meeting place in case you get separated – or write your phone number on your children's entrance wristbands so that our staff can help you more easily. Renting a stroller is also a great tip, both for carrying bags and for resting tired little feet.

Pets

Pets are allowed in the parks if they are on a leash.

Staff & defibrillators

We have trained staff at Summerland we are there if an accident occurs. Everything can happen very quickly and there are many children and adults on the move. Adjacent to Summerland Magasinet is the reception area, where we also have defibrillators. Your safety is important to us!

Information

If you have lost something or need help finding someone, staff are available in the entrance hall to assist you. If you are particularly satisfied with something or would like to give us tips on how we can improve, please feel free to visit the entrance hall at Summerland.
