Gotland is, no matter how you look at it, a truly fantastic place. We are so grateful to be able to enjoy the island's gems every day. Despite its small size, the island has many different faces. The combination of barren landscape and magical greenery creates a truly unique natural experience. With Kneippbyn as your base, you can move freely around the island and have direct access to everything Visby has to offer. Gotland and Kneippbyn are the perfect choice for those who want to combine medieval history, wonderful swimming, good food, and cultural experiences. All in one cozy package with a golden edge.
May we suggest a few wonderful days with us on Gotland?
Day 1 Checking into our lovely fishing cottages and settling in for a while with the view of the sea and the sound of its waves recharges your batteries in many ways. In the evening, we recommend a lovely walk on Södra Hällarna.
Day 2 Breakfast is served at Solsidan's outdoor café, which offers perhaps the best view on the island. Villa Villekulla, the original house from the Pippi films, is a must-see during your stay. In peace and quiet, you can read the story of Pippi and enjoy the uniquely decorated house. Charge your camera, because you'll want to take lots of photos. Then head south, and the very popular Tofta beach will probably be your first stop for a swim. If you want to experience more of the south side,Hoburgsgubbenis of course an attraction that attracts thousands of visitors every year. The evening ends with a nice dinner at the Gusto restaurant.
Day 3 As a guest at our accommodation, you can enjoy a morning swim in our well-tempered lagoon. A perfect and truly wonderful start to the day. A slightly different excursion is the one to Furillen. A quarry that has been transformed into a design hotel with a high-class restaurant and an environment that is difficult to describe. On the way, a stop at Kyllaj is a good option. In the evening, you can experience Visby's city center. You can walk around Visby's alleys for almost as long as you like. Unique buildings appear around every corner and mix with cozy shops. The botanical garden also offers magical flora. Did you know that Gotland Museum is Sweden's most visited museum of its kind? Dinner is best enjoyed at Backfickan (fish & seafood) or Bolaget, where you can sample French cuisine.
Day 4 Depending on when the ferry departs, there are several options. Perhaps you haven't had time to see everything in Visby. Maybe you want to play a round of golf on one of Sweden's most respected courses (Visby GK) or why not take a trip to Fårö, where chalk-white beaches and rauk formations tower above the landscape. The best thing is that all this beauty is so close at hand on Gotland.
