It also boasts Gotland’s only 5-star camping facility and is a member of SCR – Svensk Camping.
From Spa Resort to Fun Resort
Kneippbyn was founded as a spa resort in the early 1900s by Dr. Kallenberg. Inspired by the tuberculosis-stricken monk Sebastian Kneipp, who cured himself through alternating cold and warm baths, guests came to Kneippbyn to be cured in the spirit of Kneipp. Since 1976, Kneippbyn has been run by the Werkelin family, and today, people come to Kneippbyn to have fun, relax, and enjoy its fantastic location.
From Hotels to Treehouses
Kneippbyn offers approximately 760 beds in villa caravans, cottages, fishing cabins, treehouses, glamping tents, apartments, and hotels, as well as around 200 camping pitches. The many accommodation options offer various price ranges and experiences – from comfortable hotel stays to budget camping trips, exciting jungle-themed treehouses for kids, or romantic fishing cabins with sea views.
Kneippbyn Active
At the heart of our resort, we have created Kneippbyn Active for those who enjoy various forms of exercise. On the resort, you’ll find a well-equipped outdoor gym for personal workouts. We have perhaps Sweden’s most beautifully located paddle courts, a very popular pump track, a uniquely sunken tennis court (Hardcourt), and a beach volleyball court close by. Adjacent to Kneippbyn, you’ll find natural areas with the best possible views and a delightful environment. In the Södra Hällarna nature reserve, we have developed several running and walking trails for our guests. Every summer, we offer guided exercise activities.
Food & Drinks
To keep up the energy for play and fun all day long, good food is essential. We have long managed the resort’s restaurants ourselves to ensure quality. At Kneippbyn Resort, there are several different restaurants, both during the day and in the evening. Restaurant Solsidan offers a very popular lunch buffet, and as evening approaches, you can enjoy our à la carte menu with a fantastic view over the Baltic Sea and all its wonderful sunsets. This year’s new addition is Restaurant Gusto, where we have embraced the Italian cuisine. Naturally, we primarily use local ingredients.
